14/05/08--Due to other committments this page has fallen behind.In the last month I have had various fry including:-Praecox Rainbows,Pauly X Asch Guppies,Tuxedo Guppies,Orange Flame Cofer Tail Guppies,Tiger Guppies,Endlers & a couple of Danio margeritatus.The Peacock Gobies spawned a couple of times but the eggs fungussed.
18/05/08--Glenrothes Auction--New fish were Megalechis thoracatum(Hoplos),Angels & Pygmy Cories.
19/05/08--Whiptails spawned--Male Peacock Goby has been in hiding for a few days & was chasing the female away so hopefully third time lucky!!--Sadly it was not to be still no fry.
22/05/08--Leopard Danio spawned. 26/05/08 --Fry free swimming feeding on Liquifry.
23/05/08--Fundulopanchax nigerianus "Makurdi" eggs arrived from an Ebay purchase. Unfortunately some eggs fungussed & out of the eggs that did hatch only two survived.
24/05/08--Pair of silver angels spawned,most of the eggs were eaten but about 50 fry were free swimming but wre eaten on the third day.

11/06/08--Angels spawned again but as soon as wrigglers appeared they ate the lot!
14/06/08--Got 6 Corydoras arcuatus from Andy Scott (Peterhead Aquarist Society).
22/06/08 --USA Show & Auction -New fish this trip were 1 pair Red Lace Snakeskin Guppies,1 pair Adult Brown Bristlenose,Aphyosemion striatum from Graham Ramsay & Cory adolfoi,Cory napoensis & Cory Peru Gold Stripe.

I have had several spawnings from my Adolfoi cories & have quite a few fry at the moment & I also have a few Aphyosemion striatum fry.There have been quite a few broods of German Tuxedo & Pauly X Asch guppies.I also managed to save a few Red Lace Snakeskin guppy fry, one of which is an albino.
17/08/08--When doing a water change on the tank containing the pair of Brown Bristlenoses I got at the last auction I discovered a load of free swimming bristlenose fry.
11/09/08--Pair of Albino bristlenose have spawned-I now have over 100 Cory adolfoi fry feeding well on Walter/Banana worms & brineshrimp.
10/10/08--Another brood of Brown bristlenose fry free swimming.
19/10/08--First batch of Cherry shrimplets have been released by a female,three more females are berried up.
24/10/08--Pair of Cherry Barbs spawned within 4 hours of putting them in breeding tank.Another brood of Albino bristlenoses have hatched out.Picking off quite a few Aphyosemion striatum eggs over the last couple of days.
28/10/08--Peacock Gobies spawned again but eggs fungussed once more.
4/11/08--Removed a few spawning mops from Danio margaritatus tank & also one mop from Praecox Rainbow tank to hatch out in separate tanks.
11/11/08--Brown Bristlenose spawned again.Also another load of Cherry shrimplets.Fry starting to appear from last weeks mops.
18/11/08--Albino Bristlenoses have spawned again.
18/11/08--29/12/08-Albino Bristlenoses spawned again-Quite a lot of Praecox Rainbow fry--more Danio margaritatus fry(Galaxy Rasbora)-loads more Cherry Shrimps & various Guppies.

4/1/09--Albino bristlenose fry are now free swimming.I now have about 250 brown/albino bristlenoses.C.adolfoi spawned 35 eggs also more Pauly x Asch Guppy fry & Red Cherry shrimps.Also a few C.paleatus eggs hatched out.
5/1/09-- C.Adolfoi spawned again 45 eggs but most have fungussed.
15/02/09--Glenrothes auction purchases-C.metae,C.pygmaeus,C.concolor & C."Gold Lazer".
20/02/09--Another couple of spawnings from C.adolfoi recently & various guppies & Cherry Shrimps.C.pygmaeus purchased at Glenrothes spawned but most eggs were eaten by other tank inhabitants.

5/04/09--Another batch of Albino Bristlenose fry appeared from males cave.

3/08/09--Macropodus opercularis have a large brood that are a couple of days old now.These fish were obtained at Perth auction in June wrongly labeled as Macropodus concolor.Most of the fry were eaten by the parents.
When moving a Huey Hung sponge filter I discovered a male LG6 sitting on eggs with a few fry next to him.Killies & Praecox Rainbows were sitting waiting for a free lunch.I attempted to remove the eggs with a razor blade.They all burst open & I managed to net all the fry which amounted to 26.They are now in an ice cream tub to see if they survive.They definitely wouldn't if I had left them!
17/09/09--Update--There have been a couple of spawnings from C.pygmaeus & C.aeneus.Also C.harbrosus & C.paleatus although C.paleatus eggs don't look too promising.
27/11/09--Update--I now have a lot of Praecox Rainbow fry,Fundulopanchax nigerianus P82 & Aphyosemion australe Gold fry, Corydoras metae fry from the first spawning of 12 eggs.Also another 18 eggs in a hatching tub.A batch of approximately 50 Brown Bristlenose fry about ready to leave their cave.Loads of young Cherry Shrimps appearing.
1/12/09--First spawning from a pair of Silver Angels in my tank in the house.Albino C.aeneus spawned when I was out but ate all the eggs only tell tale egg marks left on the glass.
18/12/09--Silver Angels spawned in the fish house.--20/12/09--Wrigglers--25/12/09--Fry Free Swimming.
20/12/09--Discovered another batch of Brown Bristlenose fry.Also a few more eggs from Corydoras metae.

Update 21/03/10--Due to Hard Disk failure I have been unable to do updating of this page.I have now installed a new HDD & rescued a copy of the site.I have also changed web hosting company due to a dispute with my previous company.

Fish house repairs have been carried out over the last week due to problems with the exterior.I have put sheets of sterling board over the tongue & boards on the roof to make it easier when replacing roofing felt.I have also covered both ends with exterior plywood because the tongue & groove boards were separating.The polystyrene insulation could be seen from the outside due to the gaps in the boards which obviously resulted in loss of heat & a handy entrance for creepy crawlies to get a cosy home!!

Albino Male Bristlenose is now looking after the fry he hatched out.
18/01/11--Another surprise tonight my group of Corydoras Concolor have spawned for the first time,only 10 eggs but it is a start.I bought these as juveniles in February 2009.

02/02/11--Update--Most of C.Napoensis eggs fungussed despite having alder cone in the tubs.I only have about 10 fry from them.I also have a few more fry from C.Concolor & C.Sterbai & loads of fry fom C.Schultzei.
The Nannacara Taenia fry are growing well on BBS & Grindal worm there are 26 fry.
C.Metae spawned 12 eggs today & I rescued 10 Half Black Panda Guppy fry the rest must have been eaten.

04/09/11--A few more fry from Danio erythromicron & Heterandria formosa
25/09/11--Update-there have been more fry from Half Black Panda Guppies,Japanese Electric Blue Lyretail Guppies,German Roundtail Guppies,Pseudomugil gertrudae,& C.Pygmaeus.
New albino bristlenose female spawned with my original male but he has ejected most of the eggs from the cave. I have salvaged some & they are now in a floating breeding trap with an airstone & an Alder cone.
28/09/11--Albino bristlenose eggs hatched .
30/9/11--New fish from Trevor Williams-Chepstow-Scarlet Endlers-Pastel Endlers-Gold Endlers-Blue Platinum Panda Guppies
19/10/11 --Albino bristlenose spawned again/
21/10/11--New livebearer fry over the last couple of days--Blue Platinum Panda Guppies,Gold Endlers,Neon Pastel Endlers,Japanese Electric Blue Lyretail Guppies,Half Black Panda Guppies & Heterandria Formosa.
Also spawned Cherry barbs but poor hatch maybe due to removing adults too soon.
23/10/11--Kirkcaldy Aquarist Society auction a good day out & brought home some nice fish.Thanks to Ian Mason for the following-Albino Corydoras sterbai,Corydoras carlae,Corydoras nijsseni,Corydoras gossei,Corydoras weitzmani,
Xiphophorus malince,Xiphophorus alvarezi,Phallocerus caudimaculatus,Rineloricaria lanceolota,Super red bristlenose,Marosatherina ladigesi(Celebes rainbow) eggs.Thanks to Eddie Morecombe for Danio Choprae,Tanicthys Micagemmae,
Nannostomus eques & Nannostomus marginatus.Also picked up some Corydoras trillineatus ,Moscow Black Guppies & some Peacock Gobies

2/1/12--First spawning from C.weitzmani only found 8 eggs -6 hatched 7/1/12
8/1/12--Fry from Xiphophorus variatus-C.weitzmani spawned
12/1/12--Unfortunately most of the C.weitzmani eggs turned white but the good o.nes were hatching today.
19/01/12--Corydoras schultzei spawned
20/01/12--Corydoras schultzei spawned,C.weitzmani found a couple of eggs,Melanotaenia praecox spawned.

25/01/12--New fish 6 wild caught C.concolor -6 Corydoras CW61 "Green Lantern" from Rare Aquatics-found 2 C.weitzmani eggs- weitzmani eggs from 20/01/12 hatched.
